The book begins with a summary of properties of direct versus indirect causatives cross-linguistically, then presents new findings on a range of morphological causative formations in Hausa, focusing on deadjectival and denominal verbs. Later chapters presents the morphological rules for causation in Hausa, known as the Grade 5 verb.
